This show is considered to be the
first soap type program. It was first
started by three students at
Northwestern University around 1925.
Classmates urged them later to try
getting it on radio. On June 16, 1930
the first radio broadcast went out
from WGN, Chicago. On Jan. 27, 1931
the Blue network picked up the show.
It jumped newworks to NBC in 1934,
then back to the Blue net ine 1936
and ended up with CBS ataring in 1942
and came to end in 1945.
Louise Carothers was Clara Roack,
Isobel Carothers was Lulu Casey
and Helen King was Emma Krueger.
